Spring is my absolute favorite season! Wildflowers start sprouting everywhere, in parks, neighborhoods and even on the side of the highway. Among these wildflowers includes the Texas state flower, Bluebonnets! And it is a rare occurrence that blue bonnets bloom in northern DFW in such a large amount, that I had to jump at the chance to shoot here. After 6 years of living in Texas, this was my first ever time shooting in bluebonnets and it will definitely not be my last! Kenzie is such a sweet free spirit which shows from the butterfly pins in her hair to her pretty bell sleeved dress and honestly the bluebonnets fit her so well.
If you know me, you know I have a soft spot for small dogs and her dog Lilo was just the absolute cutest and such a well behaved dog, she loved playing in the Bluebonnets. This mini session gave me such hippie flower child vibes and I am so in love!
