Kaitlyn – The Colony Senior Photographer

Senior

If you know me, You’ll know that I love spring! All the sessions with flowers make my heart sing. But as April comes to a close, spring flower sessions are coming to an end. But I am so happy to have been able to do this senior session with Kaitlyn at Crowley Park in Richardson, Texas. The best part of my job is the amazing people I get to meet, and Kaitlyn is no exception. Kaitlyn is a senior at The Colony Highschool and is going to The University of Texas in Austin in the fall. Kaitlyn is really incredible, she is the president of NHS and Model UN, top of the tennis team and is graduating with her associates degree along with her high school diploma. I may be much older than her but, I want to be her when I grow up!

The past month in Dallas has been nonstop wind. This session was no exception. There was some drizzle in the air and as you will see, it was quite windy, but Kaitlyn and her mom wanted to push forward with the session! Even with the wind, we made it work for us and we had fun at the same time. Kaitlyn brought so many fun props along with 2 outfits and her cap and gown. My favorite was a flag for her future college, UT. This prop was my favorite. We got to do so many fun movement poses with it, which are my absolute favorite kind of poses. With or without props I always incorporate movement with my sessions and Those are ALWAYS my favorite photos. Movement allows for more natural smiles and body position, which leads to more flattering photos!
